To become fully licenced as a registered nurse (RN) or registered psychiatric nurse (RPN) in British Columbia, you must have current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Once you have your licence, Health Match BC can assist you in finding the right employer based on where you want to live in BC.

CANADIAN EDUCATED NURSES
Registered nurses (RNs) or registered psychiatric nurses (RPNs) with current or previous registration in another Canadian jurisdiction, or RNs and RPNs who have recently graduated from a Canadian RN program, are eligible to apply directly to the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) for registration in BC.
INTERNATIONALLY EDUCATED NURSES
All nurses educated outside of Canada are considered to be internationally educated nurses (IENs). All international applicants (RNs and RPNs) are required to obtain a BCCNM approved credential assessment before applying to the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Upon assessment, nurses must then apply to the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
