BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH) cares for the province’s most acutely ill or injured children and youth, provides developmental and rehabilitation services to children and youth throughout BC, and offers a broad range of health services. BCCH also operates a wide number of specialized health programs, is a leading acute care teaching facility, and conducts research to advance health and care through the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute and in partnership with the University of British Columbia.

The Division of Pediatric Allergy & Immunology sees children with complex allergic and immunologic conditions. The Division consists of healthcare learners from multiple disciplines and provides an outstanding environment for clinical research and teaching. The Division has a Royal College accredited pediatric allergy & immunology subspecialty residency (Fellowship) program, and is engaged in pediatric resident and medical student education. Division members conduct and lead a variety of local, national, and international research studies.

The BCCH and UBC Department of Pediatrics has a part-time pediatric clinical immunologist vacancy in the Division of Pediatric Allergy & Immunology.

This is a clinical faculty position with the successful applicant expected to provide leadership in clinical care, be active in the education programs of the Division including the fellowship program, and to support and contribute to research and quality improvement. The candidate will be expected to see children with complex conditions via consultation in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

The successful candidate will have subspecialty expertise in Pediatric Immunology and must be eligible to obtain a specialist’s license to practice in British Columbia.

Anticipated start date: September 2022 or as negotiated.
