Role and Facility Information

The Division of Endocrinology, Department of Medicine at St. Paul’s Hospital is seeking an outstanding physician for a staff position in endocrinology. The successful candidates must hold an FRCP(C) or equivalent in Internal Medicine with a Certificate of Special Competence in Endocrinology, have completed an accredited fellowship in endocrinology, and be eligible to practice as a specialist endocrinologist in British Columbia. Preference will be given to candidates who have expertise in the area of thyroid cancer treatment, endocrine complications of cancer treatment and general thyroid disorders.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching and will be expected to participate in the undergraduate as well as post graduate teaching activities in the Division. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop an active program in clinical research and participate in on call hospital rotations.

The Division comprises 14 academic endocrinologists engaged in clinical medicine, education and research with a full range of medical and surgical resources, institutional facilities and support staff.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate would hold clinical faculty positions in the University of British Columbia in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology.
