Position Summary

Interior Health Physiotherapists work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy services and in guiding work direction to rehabilitation assistant(s). We have a permanent, fulltime opening available. What will you work on?
In this position the Physiotherapist works in a variety of Community settings including Home Health, Transition Team at Royal Inland Hospital and rural coverage as needed. Collaboration with Community Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Social Work, Speech-Language Pathology and Respiratory Therapy.

Local travel is required within this role in the surrounding area. Access to personal vehicle may be required; a valid Driver’s License is necessary.

How will you create impact?
Supporting seniors and others in the Thompson region access and navigate home and community care and chronic disease management services. Providing care management support in the home and assisting with interventions.

How will we help you grow?
Provide you with an orientation customized to meet your needs, and immediate support and access from excellent colleagues and the Physiotherapy Professional Practice Leader. Support and knowledge sharing from an established interdisciplinary team. Being part of the Home Health transformational work to ensure a team based care approach for each home health client. Numerous educational opportunities are available as part of this transformation work.

Who are we looking for?
This position is suitable for a new grad or a seasoned therapist. We are seeking a Physiotherapist who works well within the team but also able to work independently with good people and communication skills. Ability to coach and educate clients. Willing to learn new skills.
