Position Summary

Interior Health Occupational Therapists works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing occupational therapy services and guides the work direction of Rehabilitation Assistants.

We have a Permanent Part Time opening at Orchard Haven in Keremeos, BC.Days of work are Monday to Thursday plus alternating Fridays from 08:00 to 16:00

What Will You Work On?
Occupational therapists work in the community to support adults to remain in their home, engaged in their valued activities in their home and communities. Also supports the transition from their family home into alternative level of care as per client wishes and needs. Services offered include assessment, recommendation and training in the use of assistive equipment, home modifications, task modification, prevention of skin breakdown and rehabilitation of occupational dysfunction.
Worksites are located in two rural communities, with prime access to world class mountain biking, hiking and fishing.

Formal education opportunities available, funds to access formal education, mentorship from senior therapists and team members. Orientation to team and site is well established. Opportunity to take on leadership projects, changes management and transition to leadership positions.

Who Are We Looking For?
Occupational Therapist who is creative and passionate about client centred care. Ability to be autonomous within team based care model in home health and long term care sites. Ability to organize time and prioritize work appropriately.
