Role and Facility Information

As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be based at Peace Arch Hospital Campus.

As qualified or /eligible Psychiatrist you are required to provide a high standard of care to patients with acquired brain injury in addition to older adult patients served by Fraser Health Mental Health team as part of the interdisciplinary team. This position includes Consulting along with psychiatrists at the mental health centre, in active outreach to patients’ residence, consulting to Assisting living and long term care facilities in collaborative model with patient’s attending physicians.

Services include assessment, outpatient treatment and consultation, family meetings, case conferences, discharge planning, teaching geriatric psychiatry residents and the medical students.

The psychiatrist will also promote continuity of care by maintaining good working relationships with all those providing care and services and advocating for the psychiatric needs of individual patients.

Participation in ECT roster and the on-call roster is mandatory.

Compensation Type:
Combination of sessional work, fee for service work making to a total of 1.0 FTE. You will be also be getting your proportion of MOCAP on-call Psychiatry group payments.
