Role and Facility Information
As part of the provincial mental health services continuum, BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services (BCMHSUS) provides a diverse range of specialized, "one-of-a-kind" tertiary mental health and substance use services to adults across the province. These include services located at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital and six regional clinics, the Burnaby Centre for Mental Health & Addiction, and Heartwood Centre for Women. In addition to delivering these clinical services, BCMHSUS provides provincial leadership for system-wide improvement through its work in: health promotion and illness prevention; knowledge exchange; and research and academic teaching.

Interior and Prince George
The Interior and Prince George Regional Clinics for Mental Health & Addictions are looking for aForensic Psychiatrists with good experience in the assessment & management of patients with substance dependence and mental health issues. The Forensic Psychiatrist collaboratively works with the interdisciplinary team in order to effectively plan and manage the patients through their recovery and rehabilitation.

You will use your extensive hands-on experience and background in treating complex clinical problems to support the ongoing education of our team, and further the mental health of this population within the province of British Columbia.
The interested physicians should be eligible for provisional or full licensure with CPSBC. Having fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent is desirable.
