Role and Facility Information

Medical Clinic located in Campbell River, British Columbia, offers an opportunity to join four collegial colleagues and an excellent staff in a clinic offering a full spectrum of services. Currently each physician at Seawatch holds diverse practice interests outside of the clinic including palliative care, chemotherapy, MAID, addictions medicine, community outreach and walk in clinic. This is possible due to our collaborative approach to the care of patients and supports physicians to pursue diverse practice interests. Our model includes shared weekend call as well as shared inpatient rounds and a willingness to see each other’s patients as necessity dictates. Teaching is another optional component to the Seawatch experience with a history of consistent placement of residents and medical students.

This is a fully computerized family practice clinic. The location is convenient, and physicians enjoy an open concept, shared office with an ocean view. The position offers flexibility in hours of work and scheduling. Obstetrics and ER shifts optional. Our clinical information system is OSCAR, the software used almost exclusively by Family Practices and most consultants’ offices in Campbell River.

These are exciting times for Health Care in Campbell River; The new 95 bed hospital has brought new services and opportunities to our community. The Division of Family Practice has a strong presence in Campbell River offering support and a voice at the planning tables within the community, health authority and provincially. We are also part of the Strathcona Site for the UBC Postgraduate Family Practice Residency Program. Seawatch staff welcomed our sixth resident to the clinic last year.
