• Shift Rotation/hours of work: Days, Evenings, Nights - 06:30 to 15:00, 07:00 to 15:30, 08:00 to 16:30, 08:30 to 17:00, 09:30 to 18:00, 14:30 to 23:00 - rotating

Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Chief Medical Technologist, obtains and prepares specimens for routine analysis. Performs various routine Hematological, Microbiological, Biochemical and Immunohematological testing in accordance with Departmental Procedures.

Top 4 Key Responsibilities
• Receives and obtains specimens from patients for analysis and accessions and releases results via computers.
• Performs routine procedures according to departmental procedures and standards.
• Calculates and tabulates results, prepares and issues reports.
• Monitors and interprets quality control and completes work sheets and quality control charts.

Job Qualifications
• Graduate of an approved school of Medical Laboratory Technology and current Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science registration.
• One (1) year recent related experience.
• Experience in all the above disciplines preferred.
