Specialty Clinical Nurse Leader

Role and Facility Information

Reporting to the Continuing Care Coordinator, the Clinical Practice Leader contributes to the delivery of quality resident care, professional nursing practice and the enhancement of geriatric services in a complex care setting through nursing practice assessment and development, clinical consultation, quality improvement, care coordination, staff health and other leadership activities. The Clinical Practice Leader will work as part a multidisciplinary team and work collaboratively across disciplines and departments to positively impact nursing care in complex care nursing practice.

Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current practicing registration with BCCNM.
- A baccalaureate degree in nursing plus five (5) years recent experience in gerontology and demonstrated competencies in leadership.
- OR the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

- Ability to direct and operate all assessment tools and guidelines, i.e., MDS, PSLS
