Role and Facility Information

The Fraser Urology North (FUN) Group is looking to add a member to the team. Increased on- call volumes, population growth, and the planned expansion of the hospitals have resulted in the need for another person. Elective OR resources are to be shared with the existing members of the group. No new resources are associated with this posting.

The successful candidate will hold the FRCSC certification in Urology and be eligible for a full license with CPSBC.

Requisite skills include advanced endourology (especially percutaneous nephrolitotomy) and interest in female incontinence. Open and laparoscopic skills are important as we cover a level 1 trauma centre. We would appreciate a keen interest in research and would like this individual to lead regional urological research endeavours. Interest in urodynamics favoured as the successful applicant may be asked to participate in this locally and regionally.

Eagle Ridge Hospital is a 205-bed hospital in Port Moody, British Columbia offering medical, surgical, regional rehabilitation, cardiac and diabetes outpatient programs, as well as 24/7 emergency services with about 53,051 visits annually. The hospital is undergoing an emergency department expansion and upgrades to accommodate the growing populations of Port Moody and the Tri-Cities. The expansion will more than double the number of patient treatment spaces and is designed to better meet the needs of patients requiring emergency care.
