Role and Facility Information

Seeking partial full time, minimum 0.5 FTE, Family Practice/Family Practice Emergency physician; providing full service to a primarily First Nations rural community. Applicant will be required to provide 4 - 6 weeks of locum coverage prior to being offered a regular position to ensure a good fit for the physician and the community. If previously have been on site as a locum, the 4 - 6 weeks may be waived.

0.5 FTE - providing 23 service weeks over the fiscal year - April 1 2021 to March 31 2022.

Overlooking the ocean, the one facility houses the medical clinic / hospital /
pharmacy and ambulance services. The clinic has combined office/exam rooms for 4 physicians and there is clinic support staff provided. The hospital has 6 acute care beds, 7 continuing care beds and a 3 bed emergency department open 24/7. Along with a laboratory, diagnostic imaging services and telehealth services, this is an opportunity to practice and challenge your skills.

Successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, strong work ethic, cultural competency, and consistent ability to work harmoniously as team member.

6 weeks off contract built in to Full Time contract. Community qualifies for additional Rural Locum assistance through Locums of BC program - up to 43 days for full time position.
