The North Peace Manager of Medical Imaging is responsible for providing technical and clinical practice leadership and expertise for Medical Imaging under the administrative direction of the Health Service Administrator and clinical direction of the Medical Director of Radiology for Fort St. John Hospital and Hudson’s Hope Diagnostic & Treatment Centre.

The manager will direct all imaging staff and operations, promote a safe and healthy workplace, maintain quality management, develop and implement policy and procedures, and maintain fiscal responsibility within defined operating budgets.


- Graduate of an approved Medical Radiology Technologist training program.
- Registration with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists(CAMRT) and/or the Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP) or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Current CPR certification.
- Three to five (3 to 5) years’ recent, related experience, including two (2) years’ supervisory experience supplemented by completion of approved management courses or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Medical Imaging theory and practice.
- Broad knowledge of the standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by CAMRT, CARDUP and ARDMS.
- Comprehensive knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with medical imaging equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers, medical personnel and other health care staff.
- Demonstrated ability to function as an effective team member, leader, mentor, coach and facilitator.
- Demonstrated ability to develop project plans and implement new projects.
- Demonstrated ability to develop procedure protocols and manuals.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Demonstrated computer skills.
