We are seeking Occupational Therapists to work in Acute Care (Kelowna General Hospital) and Long Term Care in the Central Okanagan. We cover five Interior Health Long Term Care sites (including palliative care) and some contracted sites from Lake Country, Kelowna to West Kelowna.

We are seeking Occupational Therapist applicants with the knowledge and expertise in working independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team with ability to carry out assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education. Apart from regular Occupational Therapy assessments, the skill of dysphagia assessment is required. Knowledge of equipment is paramount; wheelchair assessments, power mobility assessments, fall prevention. Quality of life lens essential in this area.

As a Casual opportunity work requirements can vary from Zero to 37.5 hours per week. Once hired into a casual role an employee is eligible to apply internally on permanent postings as they become vacant. Upon completion of 180 hours, Casual employees have the option of purchasing medical, dental and extended health benefit plans. Hourly rates of pay are $33.83 to $42.19.
