The Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is a 246-bed facility that serves as the referral centre for approximately 250,000 people. As one of two Interior Health tertiary referral hospitals, RIH is a no refusal centre with an Emergency Department that receives over 250 major trauma and 62,000 visits per year.

Kamloops offers high-level, specialty medical care including core physician specialties, 24-hour Emergency and Trauma Services, Ambulatory and Outpatient Clinics. Specialty services include Psychiatric Services, non-interventional Cardiology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Gastroenterology and others. RIH also features a Clinical Neurophysiology Lab and Sleep Lab, TPA Stroke, Stroke Thrombolysis, and provincial Tertiary Neuropsychiatry Programs. Surgical services include General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular and Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, with 24/7 Anesthesia coverage.

The Medical Imaging department at Royal Inland Hospital is a collaborative team of 8 radiologists and 1 nuclear medicine physician who provides services in x-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound (Phillips IU22), CT (Siemens Dual Source Flash x2), MRI (1.5T GE), digital mammography, nuclear medicine, bone densitometry and interventional. Our department is fully digital, utilizing McKesson PACS along with Fluency voice recognition dictation software. There is a one year track to full associate.

We are excited to add a passionate and hardworking radiologist to our team at RIH. Dual training in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology would be an asset.
