Role and Facility Information

Providence Health Care Vancouver, British Columbia Providence Health Care (PHC) invites applications for a Respirologist position based at St. Paul’s Hospital, a University of British Columbia affiliated teaching hospital. PHC is a leading teaching and research organization and the Provincial Centre for multiple respiratory subspecialty clinics, as well as the provincial referral centre for Cardiac, HIV/AIDS and Renal Care. We are known for our centres for excellence and recognized for a number of specialty programs and services across the continuum of care – from acute to elder care. The Division of Respiratory Medicine is actively involved in the care of patients with a wide variety of respiratory diseases from British Columbia and the Yukon, and is a nationally and internationally recognized research centre.

The successful candidate will have a FRCPC in Internal Medicine and Respiratory Medicine and must be eligible for licensure in the Province of British Columbia. Preference will be given to a candidate with subspecialty training in airways disease, including asthma, COPD, or cystic fibrosis. A clinical appointment commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate will be sought in the Division of Respiratory Medicine, University of British Columbia. Remuneration will primarily be fee for service. Additional remuneration for academic activities will be negotiated for appropriate applicants with an interest in developing a competitive research program.
