Check out this innovative practice opportunity

Interested in an innovative, flexible, supportive, collaborative and lucrative way to practice family medicine with much less overall daily stress?

We are looking for a family medicine physician to “practice share” with one of our family doctors within a large group practice in Tsawwassen, Greater Vancouver, BC.

What is a Practice Share?
Practice share is sharing a full patient panel (1600+ patients) 50/50 with another well-respected family practitioner. In this model, you work out a schedule that benefits you both.

This is an excellent place to work for a new doctor.

With opportunity to locum to ensure this works for both doctors!

This provides substantially less costs with regards to overhead (50% less), significantly less administrative day-to-day thereby freeing significant time for activities of your choice. All while creating a more relaxed medical practice overall.

Under this model, you would also be free to augment your family practice with residential care, OB, small procedures, hospitalist, surgical assists, counselling, telemedicine… or simply just enjoy sharing a practice working part-time as a team.

Please note: This model of patient care has proven to increase earnings vs traditional full-time or part-time.

Example: In one successful practice share of 1600 pts; physician earnings dropped 25% (not 50%) when sharing the practice 50/50 between the two doctors.

The doctors found they were less stressed, had more time with patients and day-to-day administration and one of the FPs was able to fit in her passion for OB 2 days per week.

They found working as a team provided greater overall patient satisfaction and they had greater work / life balance when it came to holidays and juggling family obligations.

Benefits:
• A more relaxed medical practice overall
• A 50% reduction in overhead costs
• Built in coverage for vacation and/or illness
• Enjoy a collaborative, supportive practice
• Shared hours, shared pay with increased earning potential
• Less day-to-day administration
• Less stress overall
• Ability to provide better longitudinal patient care for your patients

Tsawwassen

Tsawwassen is a mostly residential community located in the southwestern corner of the City of Delta, in the Lower Mainland, though there are hundreds of shops and boutiques that make this community an entity on its own. And because it is a peninsula, Tsawwassen is surrounded by the ocean, which has blessed the area with some of the most inspiring waterfront and beach terrain, anywhere.

The beaches and parks are what make Tsawwassen an ideal family destination. People travel from near and far to spend time at Centennial Beach or Deifenbaker Park, or to hike “the stairs” at Fred Gingell Park. And on your scenic drive here, you’ll pass through productive and pastoral farms and greenhouse veggies, and will likely see an eagle or blue heron along the way. Fishing is also a popular pastime around here as boats can be launched on both sides of the peninsula. There are so many hidden gems just waiting to be discovered.

Tsawwassen is also home to the BC Ferries’ Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, which connects the Lower Mainland with Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands; the Boundary Bay Airport; the Roberts Bank Superport; and provides the only road access to the community of Point Roberts, Washington, via 56th Street.
