Role and Facility Information

Grace Medical Clinic is seeking a Family Physician to provide locum coverage in Prince George from Jan 1, 2020 - April 30, 2020. Physician would work at least 3-4 half days/week in office plus shared inpatient coverage (could be extended close to full time if desired). Ask us about a schedule in advance! Other perks of this opportunity include:

• Opportunity to participate in GP-OB call coverage (part of 5-physician call group), though not mandatory

• Shared paperwork (not required to do on out of office days)

• Teaching Practice (2 family practice residents occasionally in office)

• Clinic situated in collegial family practice building with 6 practices in house (easy to get advice or assistance)

• Clinic within walking distance to hospital and long-term care facility; also central to shopping, parks, and downtown

• There may be an opportunity to join the practice afterward if determined a good fit

This is a 3-physician office who share ~1800 patients of a diverse spread. EMR used is MOIS (training can be provided), 3 exams rooms total, and appointments are booked in 15 min increments. FFS billings, with 70/30 split in office billings and other (home and nursing home visits), and 90/10 split for inpatients and OB.

The University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) is the Regional Hospital for Northern BC serving both the immediate population of Prince George (approximately 80,000) and is a referral center for outlying communities (total population approximately 300,000). It is the main teaching center for Medical Students in the Northern Medical Program of UBC and provides teaching for UBC Residents in several specialties. The BC Cancer Centre for the North opened on the hospital site in the fall of 2012.

Prince George is located in Central B.C., and is the centre of business, education, health and culture for northern BC. Easy access to outdoor activities of all kinds, affordable living, shopping/box stores available, short commutes, a fantastic downtown core, and a vibrant arts & culture community make Prince George a desirable community to live and work in.
