Are you a perioperative certified nurse who likes new challenges, loves the outdoors and values work life balance? If so, then East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC is the place for you and we currently have an opportunity for an Operating Room Nurse in our team.

Our Perioperative Department consists of three OR theatres and one Urology room; the OR’s run five days per week; with emergencies on evenings and weekends. Operating Room staff provides core services to Orthopedics, General Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics, ENT and Urology and provide coverage for Ambulatory Clinics including endo and cataracts. We work 8 hour shifts with a day, evening, nights rotation schedule and that includes on-call and weekends.

This position qualifies for a $10,000 Rural Recruitment and Retention Grant. Conditions apply as follows:
• The bonus is a taxable benefit.
• Available to potential external hires to Interior Health.
• Available current Interior Health Casual RN employees who have not had regular employment status in the past year and would need to relocate outside their current work location/community to take advantage of this opportunity.

Qualifications Required:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
• Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of perioperative nursing and one year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment in an operating room similar in size and scope to the facility.
