The University of British Columbia and BC Children’s Hospital are seeking a visionary Division Head to provide clinical and academic leadership of the Division of General Pediatric Medicine. It is an exciting time for this division that is currently undergoing a significant transformation to enhance its clinical care and academic mandates to better serve the acute and chronic complex patient populations being cared for at the only children’s hospital in the province. The Division provides leadership across the province in support of care coordination and best practice through Child Health BC, a provincial network supporting prevention and clinical care for children and youth. The Division has a key educational role within the provincial distributed medical program with 288 entry level medical students and 15 core pediatric residents matriculating per year.
