Role and Facility Information

Burnaby Hospital is seeking to hire a Rheumatology specialist to join its current staff Rheumatologist to provide inpatient consultative care. Appointment will be provisional for 2 years, followed by permanent staff appointment.

CPSBC certification, FRCPC certification in Internal Medicine/Rheumatology, and CMPA coverage are required. Preference will be given to Canadian trained candidates with experience working in a community hospital.

The Department of Medicine at Burnaby Hospital is affiliated with the University of British Columbia as a teaching site. Successful applicants will be encouraged to apply for a clinical appointment with UBC and participate in clinical teaching.

Burnaby is renowned for beautiful parks, world class shopping, excellent schools and community centers. It is a 30-40 minute drive to downtown Vancouver and a 30 minute commute to the communities of North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Surrey, New Westminster, and Coquitlam.
