Role and Facility Information

As a member of the Regional MH Team receives and evaluates referrals to the Response Unit for presentation to the Screening Committee. Liaises with community services and agencies as indicated. The role is defined by the needs of the professional expectations, agency expectations, population demands, the provision of programs and the goals for professional nursing practice.


- Registration with BC College of Nursing Professionals as a practicing RN or RPN registrant.
- Combination of appropriate training and experience (within the last five years).
- Knowledge of community resources.

- Ability to organize and multi task and coordinate on a daily basis.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to promote safe, competent, individual care services.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the health care team.
- Ability to communicate and maintain good public relations with family and friends of individuals.
- Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in an emergency situation.
- Physical ability to perform duties of the position.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to have strong assessment and formulation skills.
- Basic computer skills.
