Position Summary

We are looking for a patient focused team player to fill a Critical Care Float Nursing vacancy that we have within our expanding team and newly renovated department at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) in Trail.
This position covers the Intensive Care and Emergency areas.

Within our Critical Care Department we have a dynamic work environment that provides a variety of patient care experiences that will challenge you in your nursing practice. Our ICU has 6 beds, our ER has 10 beds, and our nurses work 12-hour shifts.

We have a new build underway in our emergency for a larger working space that will include 2 trauma bays, 7 urgent treatment bays, 5 fast track spaces plus new decontamination, isolation, and secure rooms. The anticipation of completion is 2020.

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the
British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
• Advanced preparation in a critical care clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 3 years.
