Role and Facility Information

Our welcoming and cohesive, multi-disciplinary team at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake are seeking casual Registered Nurses to join them in providing outstanding patient-centered nursing care for surgical patients.

Based within our fast paced pre-surgical screening and surgical day care unit, the RN provides nursing care and support for progressive general and obstetrics/gynaecology surgical programs. At Cariboo Memorial Hospital, there is a strong commitment toward staff development and encouraging growth and teamwork is an essential component of our daily activities.

This is a casual position which means that hours are not guaranteed and may vary. Shift times are Monday to Friday 06:45 to 14:45, 07:30 to 15:30, 10:30 to 18:30 on an as needed basis. Casual RN employees are eligible to apply for internally posted vacancies.

If you have more than 3 years of recent experience in surgical nursing, particularly pre-surgical screening and surgical daycare then we would love to hear from you!

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
Current CPR certification.
Three years recent related experience in an acute surgical setting or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
