Role and Facility Information

The Department of Surgery of Island Health is seeking a General Surgeon locum at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital (SPH), located on the Saanich Peninsula adjacent to Victoria. The Saanich Peninsula Hospital (SPH) has 48 acute care beds and 143 extended care beds on-site

The Saanich Peninsula is located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and enviable quality of life.

The practice includes 1 operating room day a week, 2 half day endoscopy day a week (maybe more) and 3 office days a week. Participation in the SPH General Surgery at SPH on call schedule is a requirement of this position

The successful candidate will hold FRCSC General Surgery qualifications and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
