Role and Facility Information

Lookout Housing and Health Society (LHHS), is a large not for profit social housing organization, that offers care to over 3000 patients in 45 shelters and long term housing facilities from North Vancouver to Abbotsford. With our recent merger with the Mood Disorders Association of British Columbia (MDABC) - LHHS is seeking full or part time psychiatric clinicians or family physicians with a keen interest in mental health to offer psychiatric care in our shelters and long-term care facilities.

Both LHHS and MDABC (www.lookoutsociety.ca) are known to offer innovative cutting edge models of care. We are seeking clinicians who are comfortable trying innovative treatments to improve access and delivery of care to vulnerable patients who typically receive no psychiatric interventions.

Hours are very flexible and sites where we provide services are throughout the Lower Mainland of BC.

- Applicants should have Canadian specialty certification in psychiatry or their family physician certification and be eligible to practice in British Columbia.

- Applicants should feel comfortable working in an integrated team model with a variety of mental health care professionals.

- Applicants should be excited about developing innovative models of care delivery.

- Applicants should have a good knowledge base around addictions. CSAM credentials are ideal but not required.

- Salary is very competitive. We offer a stipend in addition to fee for service billings.

- We offer no overhead costs (MOA, office space, office supplies, EMR supplied).
