Role and Facility Information

The Psychiatric Clinics at the Mood Disorder Association of BC (MDABC), a branch of Lookout Housing and Health Society, is seeking full or part time psychiatric clinicians to offer psychiatric outpatient care at our downtown Vancouver offices. The Clinics at MDABC (www.lookoutsociety.ca) offer accessible psychiatric outpatient services and have developed a number of unique innovations including medication monitoring using group medical visits (GMV). We are looking for psychiatrists who are excited about using and developing innovative ways to deliver outpatient psychiatric care.

Our population are patients diagnosed predominantly with mood and/or anxiety disorders so we are interested in clinicians who are confident in their skills in assessing and treating these patients. Some of the ancillary services that make up our clinic include clinical counselors who offer individual psychotherapy; group based psychodynamic interpersonal psychotherapy, Food and Mood program (focuses on dietary treatment of mood disorders), Jumpstep (an exercise program to treat depression), and an rTMS program.

- Applicants should have Canadian specialty certification in psychiatry and be eligible to practice in British Columbia.

- Applicants should feel comfortable working in an integrated team model with a variety of mental health care professionals.

- Salary is very competitive.
