Clinic Details — East Kootenay Regional Hospital:
East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook is a 77 bed regional referral centre, serving a catchment area of approximately 82,000 people in the East Kootenay. The facility offers 24/7 emergency services with 16 beds, a brand new state of the art 6 bed ICU and Medical Imaging provides mammography, CT, Ultrasound and newly added MRI and SPECT CT coming in fall 2021.
A full range of medical and surgical services is offered including Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Pathology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Anesthesia, Radiology, Urology and Family Practice inpatient care service.
Practice Details:
In this position, you will join 3 psychiatrists to work with inpatients in EKH’s 11 bed psychiatry unit, as well as outpatient, community, outreach & substance use services. You will also provide consults to the medical/surgical units, the ER and outreach services to rural remote locations.
Working collaboratively with our clinical teams and aboriginal partners, you will enjoy a busy and challenging diverse general practice including; chronic and persistent illness, full spectrum of substance use disorder and a broad range of integrated mental health programs. You can change the outcome of peoples’ lives – you will have a substantial impact on the lives in the area.
