Role and Facility Information

Interior Health has a permanent, part-time opportunity open for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide Acute, Long Term Care, and Community Care occupational therapy services to our clients in the Merritt and surrounding areas (including Logan Lake).

The Long Term Care Services will also support our short term care clients temporarily staying in Merritt. This position offers the Occupational Therapist an opportunity to make a difference in clients’ life by helping with the recovery process during a respite stay and ensuring they will do well once back at home in the community. This is a full spectrum Occupational Therapy position and we are seeking a therapist with experience in the practice areas outlined above as well as excellent generalist skills. The successful Occupational Therapist will be able work interdependently as part of a team consisting of a Physiotherapist, Rehabilitation Assistants, and Nursing staff.

Acute services will be minimal and based out of the health centre. Community services will involve the Occupational Therapist supporting clients in their homes. Scheduled days are Tuesdays through Fridays.
