Northern Health is seeking to fill one full-time Internal Medicine position in Dawson Creek, BC, a community with a population of 13,000.

Dawson Creek Hospital serves as a regional centre for the rural surrounding area, population approximately 20,000, and helps serve the larger population of the Peace River Region, approximately 60,000. The Hospital has 31 acute beds and 3 higher acuity beds.

Dawson Creek and District Hospital is a full service community hospital that provides service to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 acute care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Services include:

Dawson Creek is also known as "Mile Zero", where the world-famous Alaska Highway begins!

Dawson Creek offers shopping, services, restaurants, cafés, a health food store, an art gallery, live theatre, and the state-of-the-art EnCana Events Centre that hosts major music concerts. Our indoor Farmer's Market is open every Saturday, year-round!

Recreation opportunities include an indoor Aquatic Centre, indoor walking track, a curling rink, two indoor skating rinks, a full-size outdoor speed skating oval, 25 kilometres of groomed trails for cross-country skiing, Bear Mountain Ski Hill (downhill skiing and snowboarding), back-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, gyms, yoga, pilates, and dance. In the summertime, enjoy biking trails, golfing, swimming, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, camping, bird watching, and visiting our numerous parks.

Dawson Creek has eleven elementary schools, one middle school and one secondary school. Northern Lights College provides post-secondary education.

Dawson Creek Regional Airport offers free parking, and Central Mountain Air provides regular scheduled service to Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Prince George, Edmonton and Calgary.
