Role and Facility Information

Golden & District Hospital is presently hiring and looking for a casual Physiotherapist to join its Rehabilitation Services Team. Golden & District Hospital provides subacute care services focusing on rehabilitation and recovery to inpatients in acute care or residential settings who do not require specialized, intensive monitored care. The focus is on improving the function of patients with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions so that they may be safely discharged home. The position is acute, residential, outpatient and community care. The volumes of patients change continuously so sometimes one area is busier than another. This position works alongside another Physiotherapist and a Rehabilitation Assistant.

The Physiotherapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of clients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The Physiotherapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the profession, department; participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistant working with the rehabilitation team.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
• Valid BC Driver’s license where required.
