Role and Facility Information

This position involves providing Physiotherapy Services to clients in an outpatient, residential and home health setting in the City of Kamloops and outlying areas. Enjoy the flexibility of setting your own schedule and seeing a variety of clients in their home environment! In order to provide care to clients in their homes, a valid Driver’s License is necessary as well as access to a reliable personal vehicle.

We have a wonderful team of people in Home Health with a passion for their profession and providing client centered care. The Physiotherapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team providing physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of clients and/or caregiver to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The Physiotherapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the profession and department and participates in departmental quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education. The Physiotherapist provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistant working with the rehabilitation team.

Ongoing professional development is encouraged and valued.

The shifts for this relief position are days from 08:00 to 16:00 on Wednesdays, Thursdays and occasional weekends. This 0.40 position can be worked in conjunction with relief competition 1132701.

• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
• Valid BC Driver’s license where required.
