Orthopedic Surgeon

The Division of Orthopedics within the Fraser Health Authority at Burnaby Hospital is seeking a part-time Orthopedic Surgeon with an interest in reconstructive shoulder surgery and trauma surgery. This is a job share position with another surgeon on sabbatical until September 2020.

The successful applicant will have exemplary interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively within the healthcare environment and demonstrate technical competence in providing orthopedic care. Fellowship experience in shoulder reconstruction is mandatory and general trauma surgery is preferred. An interest in academic and administrative/ leadership pursuits will be considered. The applicant should be eligible for licensure by the BC College and must hold the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons certification.

Successful candidates will be appointed to the medical staff at Burnaby Hospital and Clinical Faculty within the Department of Orthopedics. They will also participate in the teaching of Orthopedic residents, medical students and rounds. The candidate will also participate in the on-call schedule. Burnaby Hospital is a community/teaching Hospital and is affiliated with the UBC Department of Orthopedics.
