Specialty Cardiology - CCU/Telemetry

Role and Facility Information

We currently have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Stepdown Unit located at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, British Columbia.

This position offers you the opportunity to:
• Provide and evaluate nursing care to patients in an acute medical unit
• Work collaboratively and in partnership with the interprofessional care team
• Teach patients and families/care givers about illness prevention, health restoration and health maintenance
• Participate in research and quality improvement activities

To be the successful candidate, you will have:
• Graduated from an approved school of Nursing
• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC)
• Completion of Cardiology component of post basic Critical Care course or post basic High Acuity Course, approved Arrthymia interpretation course plus 1 year recent experience in cardiac monitoring or telemetry unit
• Current Basic Rescuer Certificate
