Role and Facility Information

Westview Place in Penticton is currently seeking a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join their friendly, busy team!

The ideal applicant will have previous experience in a Residential care environment, be able to remain calm under pressure, have great time management skills and enjoy working in a busy environment dealing with competing priorities. The successful applicant will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care and the supervision of staff on shift. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the RN or RPN ensures the delivery of resident–centered care by assisting individual residents and their families respond to changing health care needs.

This is a relief part-time 0.47fte position until approximately OCTOBER 2018 with a possibility of extension. Days of work are rotating and hours of work are 15:00-23:00 (2 on/5 off, 3 on/5 off).

Westview Place, located in Penticton, embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility is a one-storey, non-profit seniors care home with 102 private, semi-private and four-bed rooms with ensuite washrooms.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses’ of BC (CRPNBC).
• Experience in residential care would be considered an asset.
