We are currently seeking a permanent part-time Nursing Coordinator to join our team in the community of Fernie, situated in the spectacular Rocky Mountains. This is a 0.70 fte position offering competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits plan.

The successful candidate will be experienced in community nursing, ideally public health nursing and bring strong independent practice, pediatric nursing assessment and care planning skills. The ideal applicant will have strong critical thinking ability and will be adept in applying a family centered approach; to leading and developing the planning, implementation and monitoring of appropriate nursing supports for children (birth to 19yrs) with special health care needs and/or chronic illness in the home, child care and school settings.

Qualifications

Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
Three years recent clinical/community experience related to children with special health care needs/ chronic illness; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses’ of BC (CRNBC).
Current valid BC Drivers Licence
