Role and Facility Information

The Island Health Division of Urology has an opportunity for an Urologist to join a group of five Urologists based in Victoria.

Island Health provides health care to more than 765,000 people across Vancouver Island. Surgical services are centered at the two Victoria tertiary hospitals, Victoria General Hospital and Royal Jubilee Hospital.

In this clinical reconstructive 0.7 FTE Urology position the successful candidate will have FRCSC qualifications in Urology with an interest in transgender care, and be willing to explore the development of a Urological transgender surgery program within Island Health. Full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC is required.

The successful candidate will be required to establish a community outpatient practice and participate equitably in the Division of Urology paid on-call roto.

Through the UBC Island Medical Program there is the opportunity for academic affiliation and participation in teaching of medical students and residents.
