Role and Facility Information

The Island Health, Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery, has a position for a plastic surgeon to join a group of seven.

The successful candidate will have FRCSC qualifications and be able to demonstrate a desire and ability to practice in a broad range of plastic surgical services.

A funded plastic surgeon on-call rotation is shared amongst division members who provide call services encompassing the spectrum of plastic surgery for a direct referral population of 350,000 and a tertiary referral population of 750,000. Through the UBC Island Medical Program there is the opportunity for academic affiliation and participation in teaching of medical students and residents.

Areas of interest or specialized training that include microsurgical oncological reconstruction, breast reconstruction and craniofacial reconstruction would be most desirable.
