Occupational Health Nurse
Vancouver, BC (6 Month Term)

You are an experienced nurse who is committed to a proactive and holistic approach to health and wellness with an understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols!

As the Occupational Health Nurse Specialist (OHN) you are responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of Occupational Health programs that address biological hazards for at risk employee groups across the First Nations Health Authority. These programs include health assessments, monitoring, surveillance, and health teaching components in accordance with WCB legislation, PHAC, and BCCDC recommendations. You will develop linkages with site personnel to foster good working relationships in order to facilitate information gathering in an outbreak management/exposure occurrence. You will consult with all levels of personnel and provide guidance for safety in practice based on the interpretation and knowledge of occupational health risk factors.

Education & Experience
• Graduation with a Nursing degree from a recognized university
• A Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in the direct provision of occupational health nursing services in the health care sector.
• Current certification with Canadian Occupational Health Nurses Certification COHN(C).
