Practice Details:

We are seeking a full time Non-Interventional Cardiologist to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a unique niche setting and practice great medicine with lots of support. RIH sees over 1,500 patients in our emergency with cardiac related conditions. Our vascular improvement clinic has 900 patients annually and our heart function clinic has 350 patients. Physician Services provides a full in-patient admitting and consultative service including holter monitoring, ECGs and loop recording service, heart function clinic, exercise stress testing, nuclear medicine support, cardiac CT and MRI support. Planned service expansions include rapid access cardiac exam (RACE) clinic, pacemaker clinic, outreach clinics and echocardiography with stress echo service. The RACE and Pacemaker clinics will be operated in the brand new state of the art Clinical Services Building at RIH which recently opened in December 2016.

With the recruitment of additional physicians we will be opening a community private consulting practice. In the future there is opportunity to develop an outreach service to more remote communities. This is a great opportunity for any Cardiologists who are passionate about strong culture of teamwork and patient centered care. An interest and additional training in device management and follow up would be an asset.

In addition to our ability to continuously develop our skills, we are a training site for medical students and residents going through their programs through UBC’s Southern Medical Program. Both medical students and residents rotate through Royal Inland Hospital as part of core and elective experiences.
