We have a permanent full time opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) team in Kelowna.
Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) is standards-based service to identify, treat and manage first break psychosis. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience working directly with youth (18-29) and knowledge/experience in the philosophy of early intervention, family centered care and case management. The successful candidate should have experience in working on an interdisciplinary team and collaborating with community agencies.
As the MHSU Nurse, you will provide assessment, treatment, case management, community support, and as required, urgent response to clients who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life. Functioning as the primary clinician, you will utilize a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families.
Shifts of work Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:52.

Graduation from an approved school of nursing. Two years’ recent related MHSU experience in the assigned clinical area(s) (such as Adult Short Term Assessment and Treatment (ASTAT), Adult Community Support Services (ACSS), Urgent Response, Elderly Services, Alcohol & Drug, Developmental Disability Mental Health Services (DDMHS), etc.) or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia (CRPNBC).
Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
