Position Summary

Our hospital is a tertiary centre for the Southern Interior of British Columbia and a teaching hospital with a new Clinical Academic Campus for the new medical program at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. Our hospital is part of a $432 million dollar expansion with 3 new Patient Care Towers and offers high-level specialty medical care including 24 hour emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic /para-medical services.

Interior Health Surgical Centre opened its doors in Fall 2015 with 15 brand new operating room theatres (2 cardiac, 12 regular and 1 hybrid). In total, the hospital has 20 perioperative theatres.

Qualifications

To qualify, you will hold a baccalaureate degree in Nursing, have advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of perioperative nursing, have three years of recent related clinical experience in perioperative services environment and two years recent supervisory and teaching experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses’ of BC (CRNBC) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia (CRPNBC).

Current CPR certification required.
