Role and Facility Information
Opportunity for a Family Physician with hospital privileges to join a busy practice with 8 full-time GPs. The practice is located within 5 km of a fully accredited hospital. A new 95 bed fully accredited hospital is under construction adjacent to the existing hospital and is slated to open in 2017. A second off-site extended hours clinic is situated in close proximity to a densely populated residential area.
There is a 1:9 rotation in the extended hours clinic and 1:9 weekend coverage of hospital in-patients, includes sunday rounds for all patients associated with GPs in the clinic and Saturday rounds to cover for GPs who are away for the weekend. Joining the hospital doctor of the day rotation would be expected.
Electronic Health Record system used in the clinics is Med-Access.
Office support staff includes a manager, medical office assistants (typists), RN and LPN, receptionists, billing clerk and scanning clerk.

Recruitment Incentive - $10,000; Fee Premium – 6.09%; Annual Flat Fee - $5,324; Rural CME starting at $2,200/annum in years 3 & 4 in the community increasing to a maximum of $4,400 after 4 years.
