Fraser Health Authority is seeking to add a consulting Dermatologist to enhance the current Dermatology group of 3 Dermatologists who provide specialist dermatology care to the community of Surrey.
Surrey's hospital is a 507 acute care bed, University of BC Affiliated, regional referral and community teaching hospital that has the busiest emergency in BC, and offers medical, surgical, neonatal intensive care, tertiary, ambulatory, cardiology, rehab, as well as 24/7 emergency services with 94,500 visits annually. Surrey’s population is estimated to be at 468,000. The new Critical Care Tower will increase Surrey to 650 beds by 2014, providing a dedicated perinatal centre, helipad, expanded ICU as well as a new emergency opening in 2013.
The Dermatologist would be providing mostly outpatient and private community services and would also be expected to provide consulting services to inpatients at SMH. The Dermatologist would also be expected to obtain Clinical Faculty appointment with University of British Columbia and provide supervision, mentorship and teaching to Medical Trainees.
Remuneration
Compensation is fee for service.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have full FRCPC certification and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
