Associations and Regulatory Bodies

BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM): Formerly known as the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) and the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC), the BCCNM oversees the regulation of nursing professionals (registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and registered psychiatric nurses) in British Columbia.

Canadian Indigenous Nurses Association: Organization which supports Aboriginal nurses and promotes the development and practice of Aboriginal health nursing.

Canadian Nurses Association (CNA): National professional voice of registered nurses in Canada.

Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Canada (RPNC): National professional voice of registered psychiatric nurses in Canada.

Rural Coordination Centre of British Columbia (RCCbc): Supports the Continuum of Care by focusing on rural health education, network facilitation and interprofessional training and practice.



BC Health Employers

The province has five health employers serving distinct geographical regions, in addition to one health employer responsible for coordinating specialized province-wide health services, one faith-based employer, and the First Nations Health Authority.
