Medical Office in Vancouver

A family doctor in Vancouver is looking for locum coverage due to an unexpected family emergency. This locum need would start in August/September, and duration can be anywhere from 2-6 months. Shift hours are flexible, and can be made into any combination of up to 5 days per week from 10-5pm.

There is another physician working out of the office on most days, so there will be two GPs on at any given time. The physician would have access to 1 exam during their shift and their own designated MOA, and the clinic runs on Oscar EMR. There is free parking available and the average patient volume that the GP would see is anywhere from 30-35 patients per day.

The physician in need of coverage sees many women’s health and well-baby examinations, and the patient population is mostly Chinese with about 70% who are able to fully communicate in English. If needed, the MOA can help with translation for those who cannot speak English. There are no on call requirements, and the remuneration is at a 70/30 split with a daily/hourly minimum being open for discussion. Language skills of Cantonese/Mandarin are preferred but not a requirement.
