Family Physician

Squamish Nation is looking to contract a Family Physician for its expanding primary care clinic in West Vancouver. Some outreach and home visits may be included to other areas of the Nation.

The Family Physician will be part of a comprehensive primary health care team including other GPs, Social Worker, Naturopath Doctor, RN and MOA and the broader Health Department which offers a variety of programs for the community including Mental Health & Addictions, Home and Community Care and Health Promotion.

The position will suit a Family Physician who has worked with First Nations and Aboriginal people previously and who appreciates the inclusion of cultural traditional and holistic approaches to health and well-being. The position is initially for up to 2 days per week with opportunity to expand in the future.

Compensation: The position is not Fee for Service or sessional - the successful candidate will negotiate a daily rate under contract to be paid by the Nation on production of invoice and required report. For 2 days per week – estimate $90,000 - $100,000.

Part of broader primary care, mental health and addictions, home and community care and health promotion teams on site. Free parking available.
