Southland Medical (W 41st & Collingwood St.)

A large group family practice in the heart of Dunbar is looking for locums and permanent doctors to join their busy team of health care practitioners. The clinic is currently running with 5 family doctors, 2 registered nurses, 2 medical office assistants, and 1 office manager. There is ample support provided by the RNs in the form of dressings, vaccinations, and other prep work, as well as billing support from the office manager. It is a very busy practice, with each physician seeing around 30-40 patients per day, with appointments at one patient every 15 minutes or so. Clinic hours are Monday to Friday from 8am – 4pm, and Saturdays from 9am - 12pm.

These hours/dates are flexible and could be adjusted to the schedule of an incoming interested GP. The clinic runs off the EMR Profile (Intrahealth), and they are willing to offer a split of 70/30 with negotiable hourly and daily minimums. The patient population that frequents the clinic includes a wide range from newborn to geriatrics, all of which are family practice patients only – no walk-ins. There are 8 exam rooms, 1 mini lab and 6 GP offices.
