We invite you to be part of the team and part of the journey as a Thoracic Surgeon at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH).

Due to high patient volumes, there is a now an immediate need to supplement the 22-bed specialty inpatient unit at VGH for an additional Thoracic Surgeon. As the designated regional centre for thoracic surgery, there are a wide range of operations performed – benign and malignant diseases of the chest with an emphasis on lung cancer, esophageal disorders, and lung transplantation. As the ideal candidate, you bring transplant experience with a depth of experience in VATS Lobectomy and minimally invasive thoracic surgery. Experience in ECMO or cardiovascular surgery is an asset. You must hold, or be eligible to obtain certification in Thoracic Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada to practice on this team.
