British Columbia has recently introduced a new payment model for family physicians!
This new payment structure is designed to recognize and compensate family physicians for using their time effectively by spending more time with their patients, while reducing the administrative burden on them.

Surgeries that were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic are starting back up as part of a massive surgical renewal plan. Beginning this month, the Province will launch an extensive surgical renewal plan that will include calling patients, adding new capacity, and hiring and training staff, such as Anesthesiologists, Surgical Operating Room Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.
